In this month of MAY, MAP is proud to announce our next new project – built from old ideas entitled BAD@MAP, where the artists, architects and designers are invited to participate in an intervention to address the contentious issues of quality and value.
MAP will be providing everyday objects to the interventionist to alter, bearing in mind to use “Taste” as their medium. As interventionists, they may copy, corrupt and collage on the objects given. They are allowed to exercise their creative freedom to re-use, re-scale, re-color and re-make their objects. The main focus is to contaminate the universal and the contemplate the hybrids.
In the process, we hope to engage with our audiences through the language and mechanism of consumer market. This is the ‘everyday’ occupation of MAP.
As MAP is a new arts and culture platform that serves as a catalyst for the exchange and exploration of contemporary ideas, we want, not only our artist, architects, designers to join us in our efforts, we also want YOU! – Be brave. Be bold. Be BAD only at MAP.
Opening Night: 25 May 2010 @ 8PM
