Latiff Mohidin’s major paintings from his iconic Pago-Pago series will headline the Henry Butcher auction of Malaysian Art on June 19. The auction will see an exciting collection of 105 works going under the hammer at MAP@Publika in Solaris Dutamas in Kuala Lumpur.
An Exclusive Preview will feature 22 rare and museum quality works including Abdullah Ariff’s Marketplace, Cheong Soo-Pieng’s Rubbish Dump, Chang Fee Ming’s Rezeki, Tan Choon Ghee’s Khoo Kongsi Temple, Dato Hoessein Enas’ Silat and Misty Morning, Datuk Ibrahim Hussein’s Rise Above It from his China series, an early Khalil Ibrahim dated 1960s and many others. Contemporary artists are well-represented with works from Ahmad Zakii Anwar, Jalaini Abu Hasan, Bayu Utomo Radjikin, Nirmala Dutt Shanmughalingam and Norma Abbas.
