This is Khoo Sui Hoe’s third landscape exhibition. The first was held at the Alpha Gallery in Singapore in 1970.  Sui Hoe was awarded the John D. Rockefeller 3rd Fund grant in New York in 1974. His style began to edge towards globalness in outlook and has continued in this newer universal vein.

Sui Hoe’s celebrated reputation was made by his figurative works.  Although his figurative works outnumber his landscapes, the latter is integral to his repertoire. This third landscape exhibition chalks up a total of 48 solo shows altogether by him since 1965. Sui Hoe has earned his position as an inspirational artist with works as relevant, and as intriguing as ever.
