Madé Sumadiyasa, a dynamic Balinese artist, for the first time, exhibiting his works in Kuala Lumpur. Known for his swashes of colour and Balinese heritage, his work underscores the beauty of nature and the cosmos in a manner so authentic that it has earned him recognition both at home and internationally.

Madé was the first Indonesian artist to have his painting featured on the full-cover of the prestigious ASIAN ART NEWS magazine in 1996. While much of his artistic works previously gave light to the divinity of the cosmos, it is now awash with the colourful grasps of things much more worldly in nature and brings out the spiritual essence of his mind.

His works are an expression of the spiritual in our everyday environment. The artist while painting in his distinctly fluid style, shapes the world through his theistic Balinese heritage. They allow the viewer to comber through feelings of possibility and eternity, leaving one breathless as every brush feeds upon the canvas with solemn grace.

The showcase is intends to highlight the incandescent works of this master of colour and movement that goes beyond one’s thoughts, revealing the greatness and characteristics of one’s powerful inner mind.
