PopTV turns two!

‘Information that doesn’t flow top-down nor bottom-up, but sideways, peer to peer.’ – PopTeeVee

We didn’t put anything up today because we were waiting for the hundredth episode of the Fairly Current Show to come online! Yes, PopTV is two years old and has since its inception helped shaped a new form of online entertainment for us of the social media generation. Initiated by Hardesh Singh, it belongs to the big Pop family which is driven by one simple message, ‘information wants to be free!’. Whether it is the youth oriented PopIN, indie opinion hunting PopWire, local music highlight The Weekend Session, quirky interviews of The Fairly Current Show or the politically incorrect That Effing Show, these programmes and projects evince a growing reach and impact the PopTV media empire has on Malaysians.

ARTERI owes a lot to PopTV for inspiration, ideas and directions because we are a clueless lot when it comes to information technology. So to say a big thank you to PopTV and to celebrate their well deserved success, here is their two part 100th episode of ‘The Fairly Current Show’ :) Long live PopTeeVee!
