Self-proclaimed bathroom singer, Jerome Kugan, has very sweetly written an folksy tune for ARTERI :D Do you think we should adopt this as our theme song? Should we kumbaya to it at future ARTERI events? :P We love it so very much! Thanks Jerome!
Art for Arteri’s Sake
by Jerome Kugan
Where do we go to find a heart that beats
A place among the million wannabes
Where you and I can always feel at ease
At home with all these lovely freaks
Well I know a place where things aren’t what they seem
If you follow each and every vein that’s in between
Look under your sleeve my friend, I’ll show you what I mean
It’s alive, it was always here, it will let you in
Just knock on the door to your imagination
Don’t forget to colour in everything you see
In every heart, a channel to connect
In every soul, desire communicates
In every artery, a mystery decides
To live and die to make a work of art
It’s alive
It’s alive
It’s alive
It’s a living work of art
Take a piece of me
And a piece of you
And draw a line
Across each and every part

If you like what you hear and what a song for yourself or your organisation, Jerome Kugan will be appearing at this weekend’s Annexe Gallery’s Art For Grabs + KL Alternative Book Festival (12 + 13 June 2010) . For a small fee of RM 100, Jerome will sit down with you for a one-on-one consultation session to discuss about what you would like the song to be about. Talk to Jerome about your current emotional and intellectual situation, hopes, dreams, aspirations, or maybe something that happened in your past, or even a fantasy. Jerome will synthesise the details of the consultation session into a song with lyrics that will hopefully reflect who and what you are at the moment of your consultation. Find out more here! Otherwise, just catch our emo troubadour on location at the Annexe Gallery this weekend :)
