27 June 2009, Urbanscapes invaded KLPAC and ARTERI went along for the ride. The three ARTERI Managing Eds were not in the country to be on site (some on holiday, some working, some both). Luckily we had our intern Haseena and new contributing editor Kelvin on hand to man the ARTERI desk.

Our project was an ‘assemble your own art zine’. We asked 10 artists/cultural types to create 2 drawings each which we copied double sided on to sheets of paper – 1000 copies per artist. Arranged in stacks, vistors could chose their sheets and staple them together in whatever order they wanted to create their own zine. It was a bit of DIY fun to spread some cool art and viewpoints.

Kelvin was not able to stay for the entire event, but Haseena stayed well past the end. Thanks so much to both of them for helping out with this crazy event! It was a great opportunity the tell people about who we are and what we are trying to do. Many people we talked to have not even heard about us, so we tried our best to get them hooked on ARTERI. Hopefully we reached out to lots of different audiences. Fingers crossed, we can sneak our way into more great events like this.

For those of you who came, we want to thank you for your support and hope you had fun stapling the zines together! ARTERI would also like to thank the organizers for allocating a booth to us in this event. We were located right in front of Pentas 2.
