Paper is one of the well-known mediums used to record the development of various ideas and cultures and it is seen as a medium of expression in art. However, compared to canvas, it often gets less corresponding appreciation.
Pulp F(r)iction: Going Across The Grain aims to show how an artist challenges himself to use paper as a medium and form of expression and how paper is eternalized as a visual diary of his work.
Held from 6th June through 30th June in Galeri Chandan, participating artists for this exhibition includes Abu Bakar Idris, Anisa Abdullah, AT Sitompul, Azaikmal Ahmad Rashid, Choong Kam Kow, Dadi Setiyadi, Eko Didyk Sukowati (Codit), Gan Chin Lee, Hirzaq Haris, Ismadi Sallahuddin, Januri, Joko Atmaja, Lai Loong Sang, Nasir Che Din, Najib Ahmad, Rafiee Ghani, Rocka Radipa, Rudi Abdalah, Stephen Menon, Suddin Lappo, Suzlee Ibrahim, Syahrizal Pahlevi, Untung Yuli Prastiawan, Yunizar and Zulkifli Talha.
