House of Matahati (HOM) Residency

A 6-month artist residency programme for Malaysian young emerging artists under the mentorship of MATAHATI.

The selected artist will be provided with a studio space, art materials and public transport allowance to its location at House of MATAHATI (HOM).

HOM Residency is a workshop-based residency. Regular attendance at the studio is necessary for the artist-in-residence to develop their skills and technique. Constant interaction between the resident and members of MATAHATI as well as visiting artists will generate an exchange of ideas, open discussions and encourage development of creativity and thought process in art-making. By participating in ongoing activities at HOM or around the Klang valley, the artist-in-residence will be able to maximize the communication and networking opportunities within the local and regional art scene.

At the end of the residency period, HOM will award the artist-in-residence with an exhibition to showcase their artworks.
