X BOX is a performance and installation art by Amir Zainorin, a cross discipline artist who is interested in among others on pop culture, consumerism and identity.

For this event Amir is inspired ny the malay proverb ‘ macam katak di bawah tempurung ‘, which means that of a frog who is comfortable living under its coconut shell. Due to some reason, the frog is afraid to go out to experience the world around him perhaps because of his own fear od trying something new.
In this performance, Amir will imitate the frog’s way of life where he will stay in the box ( Peti Seni) for three days without leaving the space. He will only drink mineral water during his 3 days performance.

However he will be supplied with the local newspaper and a computer which will give him access to the outside world.
