In conjunction with Malaysia’s 53rd National Day Celebrations on 31 st August 2010, Balai Seni Lukis Negara (National Art Gallery) will be showcasing ‘NEGARAKU’ (My Country), a solo exhibition by Zulkifli Yusof.

‘NEGARAKU’ highlights Zulkifli Yusoff’s latest artwork, from paintings to installation. In the exhibition, Zulkifli Yusoff
shares his experiences as a child of the independence, its historic relevance, his personal memories. Balai Seni Lukis Negara has also commissioned Kamal Sabran to profile Zulkifli Yusoff in this short video in which the artist recalls the visual and cultural landscape of a young country.
