My Mother Said…

Posted by on Thursday, 3 June, 2010 at 8:00 AM. Filed under: Gallery

This week has been a terribly busy period for all three of us here at ARTERI, so after two rather heavy and discursive entries (GLBT movement in Malaysia and a review on Realism in Asia exhibition) which should have given all of you something to chew on for the week, we wanna share with you something entertaining enough to amuse you on a Thursday. Here’s Five Art Centre‘s producer turned filmmaker June Tan’s new series of very short films My Mother Said… Word of caveat: Suitable for Mature Audience Only. Don’t show this to your kids! Enjois! – SS

June Tan is a biologist from Imperial College, London who was involved in toxic waste management and is currently working on renewable energy projects. She has stage managed for Five Arts Centre (‘Family’, ‘A Chance Encounter’, ‘7 TEN’) and Dramalab (‘Spilt Gravy on Rice’). Recently, June helped produced the ‘Krishen Jit Experimental Workshop Series’ in 2006 and ‘That Was The Year’ in 2007.
