2. History
Never-ending supply of drama, intrigue, lust, trivia, humour, and greed. Gripping stuff. History also helps me to understand why things are the way they are and how to address the here and now.

3. The horizon line
The horizon line is the blank slate for me. Like meditation. Whatever I’m dealing with at the time, I try and kinda project this on a conceptual horizon and I imagine getting some kind of perspective over whatever I’m dealing with. Of course the horizon keeps moving, it’s a tease, which is fine, as it also indulges my fickle and somewhat contradictory and indecisive nature.

4. Road holidays
A long road trip with an esky of good food in the back. Ideally the road trip comes with camping, fires, outdoor cooking and staring into a universe of stars. Helps you think.

5. Red wine, also Hendrick’s Gin with limau purut
Sometimes a bit tooo inspiring, also tends to be short lived and forgotten soon after.

The Sea is inspiring and scary and overwhelming and gets my juices running. My favourite bit of sea is around the islands where the Sulu & Celebes seas meet. Turquoise in colour, very very still and come with many stories and weeeee… seahorses. I was also blown away by the sea and the cliffs off the Great Australian Bight. Awesome stuff. All that energy!

I saw this film when I was very young, about 9/10 years I think. Scout had the same hair cut as my sister, I-Nah, and they were both tomboys (I was more prissy) and we used to climb trees everyday, so we could relate to her. It was the first time I became consciously aware of social injustices. I remain a bit in love with Atticus Finch.
